SAMPLE
SAMPLE is a placemaking event, designed to build community capital in a place undergoing large-scale, long-term regeneration. It is curated and produced by HemingwayDesign for Greenwich Peninsula at the start of every Spring, Autumn and Winter. The event helps young, up-and-coming traders to build a network of like-minded people to form a new small business community, and provides new businesses with a platform at an affordable rate, limiting any risk and stress for those starting out. For visitors, SAMPLE is a celebration of the start of each new season, showcasing emerging creatives from the worlds of fashion, beauty, art, design and homewares with their collections, archives and one-off show-pieces alongside a seasonal food market, street food traders, workshops and music. It celebrates slow fashion, sustainable retail and locally-sourced goods for three weekends per year, attracting between 12-20k visitors to each edition.
